Core Focus Areas & Activities:
- Comprehensive SRH services, TB and HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment. For quality of life and reduced transmission of HIV, morbidity and mortality due to HIV in Uganda, KWHSI struggles to achieve improved access to SRH, HIV, GBV, TB and human rights services for young women, girls and Key populations.
- Advocacy and human rights awareness. For quality of life and reduced transmission of HIV, morbidity and mortality due to HIV in Uganda, KWHSI struggles to achieve improved access to SRH, HIV, GBV, TB and human rights services for young women, girls and Key populations
- Economic Empowerment and livelihood enhancement. This is a model that focuses on formation of savings groups and socio-economic support for sex workers and AGYW to improve personal and household income. Under this, female sex workers are equipped with knowledge in savings, book keeping and recording, financial literacy and apprenticeship skills for diversified income and reducing their vulnerability. This is also aimed at expanding the range of economic choices for sex workers and AGYW.
